📍 2nd School of Engineering in Smart Structures (EEEI)

[🇺🇸] This week, I had the great pleasure of teaching Module 06 - Mechanical Energy Harvesting during the 2nd School of Engineering in Smart Structures (EEEI), held from July 29th to August 1st at the University of Brasília (UnB).

It was an excellent opportunity to introduce the topic within the broader context of smart materials and structures, as well as to share the stage with leading experts in the field in Brazil. It was an extremely enriching experience, where I had the change to shape my knowledge and learn a lot from the other modules presented.

Also, it was very rewarding to accompany our team from the Center for Nonlinear Mechanics (Mecanon), who had the chance to interact with researchers and students from various institutions. Reconnecting with colleagues and building new connections was undoubtedly one of the highlights of the event.

I’m deeply grateful to the organizers Aline De Paula, Adriano Fabro, and Laís Visnadi, as well as the Dynamical Systems Group (GDS) team from UnB, for the warm welcome and flawless organization of the school. The event was also made possible thanks to the essential support of the Instituto Nacional de Ciência e Tecnologia de Estruturas Inteligentes em Engenharia (INCT-EIE) and ABCM.
